Progress report of Investigation& Laboratory of Police, General Prosecution Directorate, Primary court and Appeal court of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre:
During the month of August – September 2019 police of counter narcotics and other detective organization arrested 102 people including three woman and Iranian Citizen in the link to 90 cases from all over the country and their cases were dispatch to CNJC for further investigation.
Among the detainees 23 of them including three woman are those wanted to transfer heroin type, Methamphetamine and hashish using embedded techniques in their body and travel bags, and from the international airport of Hamid Karzai to India, and Prosecutors of CNJC identified and arrested them.
Department of Investigation Laboratory of Police reviewed all of the aforementioned cases within 72 hours and forwarded all the suspects’ cases to the CNJC for further investigation.
Based on proposal of General Prosecution office and Primary Court decree the number of 26 vehicles, 3 motorcycle, 7 weapons and 138 various cell phones found from the smugglers are discovered and seized and also the amount of 178440 Afghani cash and the amount of 2047 US dollar attainment from drug traffickers and sent to Da Afghanistan Bank Account.
Meanwhile during the month August- September 2019 ,133 suspect including 3 public service staff and three women sentenced by the CNJC Primary court addiction to 94 cases from one year up to 16 years in prison. And also 76 people including three public service and a woman sentenced by Appeal Court in connection to 61 cases of various imprisonment.
On the other hand during this time after the decision of Appeal of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre the decision of 69 cases issued by Supreme Court’s public security bureau of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
It should be noted that in connection with the received theorem in total the amount of (155,38 kg heroin, (23) kg morphine, (21276,207) kg opium, (1609,203) kg hashish (53731) kg poppy (3993) litter alcohol ( 231,578 ) kg Methamphetamine, ( 59109,14 ) kg solid chemical,(57000) liter liquid chemical and (4,122) kg Tablet k are discovered and seized .
Provinces with the highest number of crime:
During the month of August- September 2019 current year Kabul province having 31 cases and Nangarharhaving13 cases of drug trafficking are at the top of the list of provinces with high-level cases of smuggling and drug trafficking.
In the course of month July 22- August 22, 2019 in the link to 97 cases of drug trafficking crime 119 people including 1 women detained from all over the country and their cases are sent to Counter Narcotic Justice Centre for further prosecuting.
Based on last changes to the penalty code of Counter Narcotics, accordance Articles 16 and 17 of the Law, fight against alcohol and drugs jurisdiction CNJC has the authority of interrogation or (handling) more than 1kilogram of heroin, more than 10 kilogram of opium, more than 50 kilogram of hashish, more than 200 liter of alcoholic drink , more than 1kilogram of Morphine, more than 10 gram of intoxicating synthetic substance, more than 5 liter acid of acetic anhydride, intoxicants, and those who committed more than 50 acres of narcotic substance will be punished base on the law, the mentioned substances are from all over the country.
