During the past seven days Police of counter narcotics, security and intelligence forces arrested 13 suspects, including 1 woman in connection with crimes of drug trafficking from different provinces of the country, and dispatched them to the Counter Narcotics Justice Center for further prosecuting.
Among the suspects 5 of them were arrested from Hamed Karzai International Airport, for the purpose of transferring 3,685 kilo gram of Heroin to India separately.
Police arrested them from the provinces of Kabul, Balkh, Khost, Nangarhar, Uruzgan and Jawzjan while carrying a total of more than 3 kilograms of heroin, more than 177 kilograms of opium, more than 580 kilograms of hashish , 1,500 U.S. dollar , 9,000 Indian currency , 15300 Pakistani Currency , 16 cell phones and 3 vehicles. Discovered and seized.
Meanwhile, during the -mentioned period, from the Primary Court of Counter narcotic 10 suspects sentenced to prison from 3 years and six month up to 20 years. And also 11 suspects sentenced to prison by the Appeal Court Of Counter Narcotic Justice Center.
In the meantime, during the Month of jadi 1396, a total of 55 cases were filed with 73 people, including 2 public service, 3 women and one Iranian citizen suspected of drug trafficking from different provinces of Afghanistan dispatched to this center.
