During the month of November (2017 ) a total of 36 cases were filed on 51 suspects, including 2 public servants, 5 women and one Iranian citizen suspected of drug trafficking from all over the country to The Investigation & Laboratory department of Counter Narcotics Justice Center.
Counter Narcotics Justice Center General Prosecution Department after receiving the cases of drug trafficking crimes from the Investigation & Laboratory of police of this center has completed 48 cases.
During the month of November( 2017) , 68 people have been sentenced from six months to 20 years of imprisonment by the primary court of counter narcotics and also from the appeal court of counter narcotics 40 people have been sentenced from five to 20 years of imprisonment and four people were released due to lack of evidence.
Based on report of general prosecution department of counter narcotics during the aforementioned period, 24 cases have been finalized by the Supreme Court of public security bureau of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
This department during mentioned year of 2017 a total of 17 vehicles, 2 Motor bike, 67 different types of mobile phone which were obtained by the smugglers confiscated, as well as the amount of ( 64480 ) Afghanis, And the amount of US $ ( 600) has attainment from traffickers and sent to Da Afghanistan Bank.
The total amount of seized narcotics cases have been received by the CNJC Investigation and Laboratory Department in month of Aqrab of 1396 (November 2017) is written below:
(61,182) Kg of heroin
(54, 41) kg of Morphine
(1009, 9) kg of Opium
(2344, 12) Kg of Hashish
(1316) Kg of Solid chemical
(16295) Liter of Liquid Chemical
(1796, 5) litre alcoholic Drinks
Provinces with the most cases of alcohol and drug crimes: Kabul province having 12 case and Herat province having 10 cases are topped the list of Provinces.
Provinces without alcohol and drugs crimes cases: Logar, Khost, Daikundi, Nurstan, Panjshir, Bamyan, Wardak, Sar – pul, Samangan, Parwan, Pakteka, Pakteya, Urazgan, Nemrooz, Laghman, Kunar, Kapesa, Ghor, and Badkhshan.
However, during the month of October ( 2017) , a total of 42 cases related to 54 persons suspected of drug trafficking in different provinces of the country have been received to Investigation & Laboratory of Counter Narcotics Justice Center ( CNJC) .
It is noteworthy that CNJC established In Islamic Year of 1384 in accordance with Articles 17 and 18 of the Law fight against alcohol and drugs jurisdiction has the authority of interrogation or (handling) at least 2 kilograms of heroin, 10 kilograms of opium, 50 kilograms of hashish, 50 kilograms of chemicals, Chemical and 50 liters of alcohol or intoxicants are from all over the country.
