Opening Ceremony Mosque of Criminal justice task Force

The construction work of CJTF mosque started three month ago and On Wednesday, 27th of October, 2017 officially the special opening ceremony was held.

At the ceremony, government officials and representatives of the British embassy in Kabul were present.

Deputy attorney general office for investigation Mr. Noorhabib jalal who participated in the ceremony, described that the construction of mosque in this center was necessary for the staff to offer their prayer behind imam.

Mr. Jalal also thanked the British Embassy in Kabul, who donated the mosque financial, said: "(The mosque is a place of worship, prayer and divine essence, and thus, to offer   prayer is more virtuous or wisdom in Masjid.  

On the other hand, Lieutenant general   Mohammad Qais Fassihi, deputy of general directorate  of prison  and detention center , thanked and appreciated the British embassy for the financial assistance of mosque and he said the mosque serves as a place where Muslim can come together for Salat ("prayer") as well as a center for information, education, social welfare, and dispute settlement. The imam leads the congregation in prayer, the construction of a mosque in places where employees of government departments are tasked which is one of the religious needs. 

He added that the enemy, by committing suicide attacks and explosions in the mosques, cannot destroy our values, because the Shias and Sunnis in Afghanistan are like brothers “Attacks on our mosques indicate the last power of enemies of Islam and they are trying to create sectarianism.

Mr. Ed Warneford- Thomson Mentor of British embassy in CJTF appreciated from the proper work of this center and he said that CJTF provides a transparent, joined up judicial process he added that by building the mosque now the employee has the better facility of worshiping and performing their religious, on behalf of British embassy in Kabul I would like to congratulate CJTF staff regarding the building of the mosque.

The building of this mosque is in the area of 100 square meters in the form of a substantially 8-sided, with an entrance corridor, completed in three month and this mosque has a capacity of 143 prayers in same time. It’s mentioned that the work process of this Mosque put on Bidding by Administrative Department of CJTF; the companies that were present in Bidding are Construction Company of Azad Slaiman khel, Ariana Trust Group, Astana, Marko Polo Hindu Kush and Kaukab Iqbal. As a result, Kaukab Construction Co. won the bid with lowest price based on their work experience in the field of construction.

The mosque's financial resources are one million two hundred thirty five thousand Afghani (1235000) paid through the British Embassy in Kabul.
