The achievements of this center were commended and appreciated in the celebration of the 12th anniversary of the establishment of the Criminal Justice task force (CJTF).
The ceremony, which was held on September 27 2017 at Government Media Information Centre, Professor Phanwal Salamat Azimi Minister of Counter Narcotics, appreciated the achievements of CJTF over the year and mentioned that to fight against cultivation, the production of drug trafficking, is the cooperation of relevant institutions and countries in the region and the world.
Azimi said that narcotics is very dangerous specially in security sector, health, and other important part of life’s , to fight against this diseases is responsibility of all of us : we are not only responsible to the people of Afghanistan but surely we need to respond to almighty Allah as well in this regard.
At the same time Saranpoh Mohammad Farid Hamidi, Attorney General of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan called the 12th years of Experience of Criminal Justice Task Force as a great achievement he mentioned that CJTF provides a transparent, joined up judicial process, where cases arriving from the counter Narcotics police of Afghanistan (CNPA) and other Law Enforcement organizations (lEOs) are developed with great skill and bravery, in an environment free from undue external influence
Hamidi added that it’s the responsibility of the afghan government to provide Physical and mental security of the people and to fight against the narcotics is the government plan and policy and surely they are paying attention in this regard.
He also mentioned that we need national and international cooperation to fight against it; he added that lf the markets seller of the narcotic is not destroy from the world, it’s difficult for Afghanistan to fight alone in this issue.
The attorney general said one of the aspects of narcotics increasing is the security problem as well as existence of poverty in the country.
In addition, Judge Mohammad Zaman Sangari , a member of the Supreme Council of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, said that established of CJTF and set up a day-to-day campaign against drug trafficking and drug traffickers for the purpose of ensuring justice and prosecution of offenders and drug addicts
Mr. Sangari , expressing concern about drug addiction and increasing of narcotics , said: Our society is affected by the dangers of drugs more than any other country.
Mr. Sangari appreciated the indefatigable work and achievement of judges, prosecutors , and police of Counter Narcotics of CJTF, he mentioned that for betterment of providing justice, elimination of harm of intoxicating It also has been sacrificed that reflects the passage of this center.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Alam Yazd Yar, the deputy of the Meshrano Jirga, who attended the ceremony, called on the international community to fight against oppressive drugs, adding that terrorism, corruption, and illicit drugs have been confronted with problems faced by various countries.
Abdul Khalil Bakhtiar Deputy Minister of Counter Narcotics of Interior ministry talked regarding achievements of CJTF, He added that the center's achievements in the field of counter-narcotics are unmatched at the regional and global levels.
He added that drug problem is a global challenge that needs help to accelerate the process of combating narcotics.
Abdul Quyum Halim Director of appeal court of Criminal Justice Task Force, said Different institutions, such as judges, prosecutors and the police, were set up to fight the perpetrators of crimes and drug traffickers thoroughly. In His Believe, CJTF provides a transparent, joined up judicial process, are developed with great skill and bravery, in an environment free from undue external influence, This model helps ensure that significant actors in the national and international drugs trade are no longer able to act with impunity and its success is reflected in the new ‘end to end’ structure for dealing with Major Crimes here.
At the end of the ceremony appreciation certificates were distributed to the judges, prosecutors, and police of investigation laboratory department.
