Progress report of Investigation& Laboratory of Police, General Prosecution Directorate, Primary court and Appeal court of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre.
During the month of June 22, 2021 to July 2021 Police of Counter Narcotics and other detective Organization in the link to 42 case arrested 63 suspect including 8 woman, from across the country their cases are dispatched to CNJC for further investigation.
Among that 10 detainees wanted to smuggle drug heroin type, using embedded techniques in their body and travel bags from Hamid Karzai International Airport to the India, they were Identified and arrested by the police and responsible Prosecutor of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre.
Investigation and Laboratory department of CNJC processed all the above mentioned cases within 72 hours, for further investigation all the suspects’ files are lodged to General Prosecution Department of CNJC.
Based on request of special prosecution department and order of primary court the number of 17 vehicle , 3, motor Bike, 82 self-phone and 3 weapon are obtained from the smugglers, also confiscated the amount of (558351) Afghani cash and 2440 U.S. Dollar from the smugglers by the police and were handed over to the final account of Da Afghanistan Bank.
Meanwhile during the month of June 22, 2021 to July 2021 from the primary court of counter narcotic 76 suspects including 6 public service, 3 woman were convicted to sentenced imprisonment in the link to 51 cases from one year and six month up to 30 year.
In addition, to this 91 people, including 3 public service, 2 woman have been sentenced to various enforcement sentences in connection with 62 cases by the Appeal court of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre.
On the other hand during this time after the decision of Appeal of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre the decision of 34 cases issued by Supreme Court’s public security bureau of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
It is noteworthy that in connection with the cases received during the month of June 22, 2021 to July 2021 the total amount of (61.886) kg of heroin,(64) kg opium ,(516,505)kg hashish ,(1536) litter alcohol ,(35.512 ) kg Methamphetamine, ( 1.536) kg Tablet k, ( 2,193 ) kg Tablet k, ( 441.625) kg solid Chemical, ( 125 ) litter liquid chemical are seized and discovered.
Provinces with the highest cases of intoxicants and narcotics crimes:
During the month of June 22, 2021 to July 2021 Nangarar province with 10 cases, Kabul with 17 cases of intoxication and narcotics were at the top of the list of provinces with long cases of intoxication and narcotics.
It should be noted that during the last month in the link to 61 cases of drug trafficking, 82 people including 5 woman and an Iranian citizen are detained from all over the country and their cases already dispatched to CNJC for further investigation
According to recent amendments to the Anti-Narcotics Law; According to Articles 16 and 17 of this law, the jurisdiction of the judiciary is the jurisdiction of cases where the amount is more than one kilogram of heroin, more than one kilogram of morphine, more than 100 grams of synthetic drugs, more than 50 liters of acetic anhydride, Commits more than 50 acres of narcotics more than 200 liters of alcohol, more than 10 kilograms of opium and more than 50 kilograms of hashish from all over the country.
