Progress report of Investigation& Laboratory of Police, General Prosecution Directorate, Primary court and Appeal court of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre:
During the month of 22 August 2020 to 22 September 2020 Police of Counter Narcotics and other detective Organization in the link to 61 case, have been arrested 82 suspect including 1 female from across the country, their cases are dispatched to CNJC for further investigation.
Among the detainees 11 of them including 2 woman wanted to transfer heroin from international airport of Hamid Karzai to India,Dubai Airport and Prosecutors of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre identified and arrested him.
Department of Investigation Laboratory of Police reviewed all of the aforementioned cases within 72 hour and forwarded all the suspects’ cases to the General Prosecution Department of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre for further investigation.
Based on the proposal of the Special Prosecutor’s Office and primary court decree, 29 vehicles, 3 motor bike, 11 weapon, 155 different type of mobile phones have been seized from the traffickers and also(151190) Afghanis with $ 100 U.S dollar have been handed over to the Da Afghanistan Bank definitive account.
Meanwhile, during the month of 22 August 2020 to 22 September 2020, 136 people, including 6 public service officials and 1 woman, were sentenced from 3 months to 30 years in prison by the Primary Court of CNJC in connection with 98 cases. In addition, 84 people, including 1 public service official, have been sentenced by the Appeal Court of CNJC to various enforcement sentences in connection with 62 cases.
On the other hand, during this period, after the decision of Appeal Court of CNJC, the Supreme Court of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan issued a final decision on 36 cases.
It is noteworthy that in connection with the cases received in the month of 22 August 2020 to 22 September 2020, the total amount of (216,363) kg of heroin,(4,86) kg of morphine,(207,459) kg of opium (2287,82)kg of hashish,(5474) kg of henbane (6884.7) liters of alcoholic beverages,(511,413) kilograms of methamphetamine (glass), (1990,6) kilograms of solid chemicals, (19,5) kilograms of acid, (9,023) kilograms of unspecified drugs and (24, 297) kg of psychedelic tablet (K) has been discovered and confiscated.
Provinces with the highest cases of intoxicants and narcotics crimes during September:
During the month of 22 August 2020 to 22 September 2020, Nangarhar province with 24 cases and Kabul with 16 cases of intoxication and narcotics were at the top of the list of provinces with long cases of intoxication and narcotics.
During the month of Assad this year, 82 people, including 1 woman, were arrested from all over the country in connection with 61 cases of intoxication and narcotics, and were sent to the Counter Narcotics Justice Centre for further prosecuting.
Based on recent amendments to the penalty code of Counter Narcotics, accordance Articles 16 and 17 of the Law fight against alcohol and drugs jurisdiction CNJC has the authority of interrogation or (handling) more than one kilogram of heroin, more than 10 kilogram of opium, more than 50 kilogram of hashish, more than 200 liter of alcoholic drink, more than one kilogram of Morphine, more than 10 gram of intoxicating synthetic substance, more than 5 liter acid of acetic anhydride, intoxicants, and those who committed more than 50 acres of narcotic substance will be punished base on the law, the mentioned substances are from all over the country.
