Progress report of Investigation& Laboratory of Police, General Prosecution Directorate, Primary court and Appeal court of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre.
During the month of July- August 2019 police of counter narcotics and other detective organization arrested 119 people including a woman in the link to 97 cases from all over the country and their cases were dispatch to CNJC for further investigation.
Among the detainees 12 of them wanted to transfer heroin narcotic drugs using embedded techniques in their body and travel bags, and from the international airport of Hamid Karzai to India, and Prosecutors of CNJC identified and arrested them.
Department of Investigation Laboratory of Police reviewed all of the aforementioned cases within 72 hours and forwarded all the suspects’ cases to the CNJC for further investigation.
Based on proposal of General Prosecution office and Primary Court decree the number of 21 vehicles, 5 motorcycle, 9 weapons and 154 various cell phones found from the smugglers are discovered and seized and also the amount of 189750 Afghani cash and the amount of 1455 US dollar attainment from drug traffickers and sent to Da Afghanistan Bank Account.
Meanwhile during the month July- August 2019 ,19 people sentenced by the CNJC Primary court addiction to 19 cases from one year up to 16 years in prison. And also 59 people sentenced by Appeal Court in connection to 43 cases of various imprisonment.
the mentioned suspects are detained by the intelligence and security organ in link to trafficking of more than1623 kg of drug heroin type, more than 94 kg of morphine, more than 167 kg of opium, 654 kg of hashish, more than 32 kg of Methamphetamine are seized and discovered from different part of the country and their cases are dispatched to Counter Narcotics Justice Centre for further investigation and after the investigation the Courts passed the judgments against them.
On the other hand during this time after the decision of Appeal of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre the decision of 68 cases issued by Supreme Court’s public security bureau of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
It should be noted that in connection with the received theorem in total the amount of (123,412) kg heroin, (7,8) kg morphine, (1431,49) kg opium, (1876,73) kg hashish (78,015) Methamphetamine (166,38) solid chemical,(1220.66) liter alcohol and (0,114 ) kg tablet k are discovered and seized .
Provinces with the highest number of crime:
During the month of month July- August 2019 current year Kabul province having 37 cases Nangarhar and Herat having11-11 cases of drug trafficking are at the top of the list of provinces with high-level cases of smuggling and drug trafficking.
In the course of month June 22- July 22- 2019 in the link to 114cases of drug trafficking crime 135 people including 4 women and an Iranian citizen detained from all over the country and their cases are sent to Counter Narcotic Justice Centre for further prosecuting.
Based on last changes to the penalty code of Counter Narcotics, accordance Articles 16 and 17 of the Law, fight against alcohol and drugs jurisdiction CNJC has the authority of interrogation or (handling) more than 1kilogram of heroin, more than 10 kilogram of opium, more than 50 kilogram of hashish, more than 200 liter of alcoholic drink , more than 1kilogram of Morphine, more than 10 gram of intoxicating synthetic substance, more than 5 liter acid of acetic anhydride, intoxicants, and those who committed more than 50 acres of narcotic substance will be punished base on the law, the mentioned substances are from all over the country.
