Progress report of Investigation& laboratory Department, General Prosecution Directorate, Primary court and Appeal court of Counter Narcotics Justice Center.
A total of 85 suspects, including 3 women are detained in the connection to 78 cases of crime intoxicating and drugs during the month of November 22- December 22 2018 by the police of Counter Narcotics and other security intelligence from all over the country and their cases are sent to Counter Narcotics Justice Centre for further prosecuting.
Of the detainees, 16 of them wanted to transfer heroin narcotic drugs and hashish to India and Saudi Arabia using embedded techniques in their travel bags and embroidered dresses, and from the international airport of Hamid Karzai. Police and Prosecutors of CNJC identified and arrested them.
Based on proposal of Prosecutor General's Office and Primary Court ordered the number of 13 vehicles, 1 motorcycle, 18 weapons and 79 various cell phones taken from the smugglers are discovered and seized also the amount of (73470) Afghani and ( 4462) U.S. Dollar has been taken from smugglers delivered to definite DAB Account.
Meanwhile during the month of November 22- December 22 2018, 26 people sentenced by the CNJC Primary court addiction to 21 cases from one year and six months up to 20 years in prison. 43 people sentenced by Appeal Court in the connection to 34 cases various imprisonment.
More than 867 kilogram of heroin drugs, 1255 kilogram of morphine, more than 319 kilogram of opium, more than 1987 kilogram of hashish, more than 11 kilogram of methamphetamine (glass) 209 liter of chemical substance, 3454 liter alcohol and more than 2 kilogram of Tablet (K) are discovered and seized by the Police of counter narcotics while the detainees had been sent to CNJC for further prosecuting.
On the other hand during this time after the decision of Appeal of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre the decision of 8 cases issued by Supreme Court’s public security bureau of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
It is noteworthy that in connection to October – November cases , in total (188,477) kilogram of heroin, (1750) kilogram of morphine (196,117) kilogram of opium (88721,699) kilogram of hashish (35) kilogram of Cristal ( shisha ), (1730) Liter of acid (2491) Psychedelic tablet (k), (11910) Liter Acetone and (68185) liter toluene has been discovered and seized.
Provinces with the highest number of crime and drug cases:
During the month of November 22- December 22- 2018 of current year Kabul province having 33 cases and Nangarhar having 10 cases of drug trafficking are at the top of the list of provinces with high-level cases of smuggling and drug trafficking.
In the course of month October-November current year in the link to 69 cases of drug trafficking crime 109 people including 8 women detained from all over the country and their cases are sent to Counter Narcotic Justice Centre for further prosecuting.
Based on last changes to the penalty code of Counter Narcotics, accordance with Articles 16 and 17 of the Law, fight against alcohol and drugs jurisdiction CNJC has the authority of interrogation or (handling) at least 1 kilogram of heroin, 10 kilogram of opium, 50 kilogram of hashish, and 200 liter of alcoholic drink , 1 kilogram of Morphine, 10 gram of intoxicating synthetic substance, 5 liter acid of acetic anhydride, intoxicants, and those who committed more than 50 acres of narcotic substance will be punished base on the law , the mentioned substances are from all over the country.
