13 suspects arrested in connection with drug trafficking

During the last  seven days, 13 suspect  detained by the  Counter Narcotic police  and other security , intelligence organization  from different provinces of the country  and their cases are dispatched to Counter Narcotic Justice Center For Further prosecuting.

Among the suspects, reached to this center one of them who intends to transfer 640,3 kilograms of heroin from Hamid Karzai International Airport to UAE (Dubai).

They have been arrested by the police from the provinces of Kabul, Nangarhar, Herat and Helmand.

Police arrested more than 17 kilograms of heroin, more than 17 kilograms of morphine, more than 306 kilograms of opium, more than 1098 kilograms of  hashish , more than 62 liters of alcoholic beverages, 920,800 AFN, 9220 Pakistani currency , 13 cell phones, 4 weapon , 36 different rounds  and 8 different vehicles. Discovered and captured altogether.

Meanwhile, during the -mentioned period Primary Court of Counter Narcotics  sentenced 13   suspect  from two  years and six month   up to 16  years Prison. 

And also 13 suspects sentenced to different penalties of imprisonment by the Appeal Court Counter Narcotics. 

In the meantime, during the Month of February   2018) a total of 57 cases were filed with 59 suspects, including 2 women, and one Iranian citizen suspected of drug trafficking are arrested in different part of the country and their cases are dispatched to this center.

It is noteworthy that CNJC established In Islamic Year of 1384 (May 2005) in accordance with Articles 17 and 18 of the Law fight against alcohol and drugs jurisdiction has the authority of interrogation or (handling) at least 2 kilograms of heroin, 10 kilograms of opium, 50 kilograms of hashish, 50 kilograms of chemicals, Chemical and 50 liters of alcohol or intoxicants are from all over the country.
