During the last seven days, security and intelligence forces arrested 14 suspects, including a woman in connection with crimes of drug trafficking from different provinces of the country, and their cases dispatched to the Counter Narcotics Justice Center for further prosecuting.
Five detainees including a woman intending to transfer 2,247 kilograms of heroin from Hamid Karzai International Airport to India (Delhi).
The police caught them from the provinces of Kabul, Herat, Parwan, Nangarhar, Badghis and Jawzjan.
21.747 kg of heroin, 700 grams of morphine, 418 kilograms of opium, 232.800 kg hashish, 105 kilograms of Chemical Material, 190.40 Acid liter, 296 liter of intoxicating alcohol, the amount of 84,000 Afghans, an amount of 400 American Dollars, the amount of 7500 Indian currency, amount of 112,000 Iranian currency, 3 weapons, 17 sets cellphone, 155 rounds and 8 vehicle different types, has been seized and discovered.
Meanwhile, during the -mentioned period, Primary Court of Counter Narcotics Sentenced 8 person from two years and six month up to 20 years of imprisonment.
Six were sentenced to different penalties for imprisonment by the Appeal Court Counter Narcotics
In the meantime, during the( Dec22 2017 – 22 Jan 2018 ) a total of 55 cases were filed with 73 person, including 2 public service, 3 female and one Iranian citizen suspected of drug trafficking in different part of the country dispatched to this center .
