Fourth Quarter 1394 (January- March 2016)

CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Department:

In the fourth quarter of 1394, the CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Dept received 97 serious narcotics and intoxicating drinks cases including 104 suspects from across the country.

The total quantities of seized drugs along with their cases were sent to the CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Dept within the fourth quarter of 1394, are as follows:

1658 kg heroin

1500 kg morphine

2701 kg opium

26335 kg hashish

5085 kg solid chemical precursors

0 liters liquid precursors

5568 liters Alcohol

The above mentioned quantities of drugs were seized by Afghan security and detective organizations.

Based on the CJTF ILD report, 21 provinces have sent narcotic cases to the CJTF ILD from across the country included 11 cases from Kabul and also 86 cases have referred to other provinces. Within the fourth quarter 1394, 13 provinces have recorded zero referrals. In the aforementioned period, Nangarhar, Kabul and Herat provinces are on top of the CJTF list, Nangarhar by having 23 cases, Kabul by having 11 cases and Herat by having 10 cases.
