Third Quarter 1394 (December- January 2016)

CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Department:

In the third quarter of 1394, the CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Dept received 118 serious narcotics and intoxicating drinks cases including 162 suspects from across the country.

The total quantities of seized drugs along with their cases were sent to the CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Dept within the third quarter of 1394, are as follows:

1,903.447 kg heroin

14.810 kg morphine

7,582.480 kg opium

123,255.558 kg hashish

980.890 kg solid chemical precursors

55.500 liters liquid precursors

2,564.200 liters Alcohol

The above mentioned quantities of drugs were seized by Afghan security and detective organizations.

Based on the CJTF ILD report, 22 provinces have sent narcotic cases to the CJTF ILD from across the country included 14 cases from Kabul and also 104 cases have referred to other provinces. Within the third quarter 1394, 12 provinces have recorded zero referrals. In the aforementioned period, Nangarhar, Kabul, Herat and Nimroz provinces are on top of the CJTF list, Nangarhar by having 25 cases, Kabul by having 14 cases, Herat and Nimroz by having 12 cases.
