FOURTH QUARTER 1393 (January - March 2015)

Numbers of people investigated prosecuted and convicted

CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Department:

In the fourth quarter of 1393, the CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Dept received 150 serious narcotics and intoxicating drinks cases including 210 suspects from across the country.

The total quantities of seized drugs along with their cases were sent to the CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Dept within the fourth quarter of 1393, are as follows:

1,076.962 kg heroin

90 kg morphine

9,395.780 kg opium 

5,584.425 kg hashish

899.600 kg solid chemical precursors

590.600 liters liquid precursors 

1,936.500 liters Alcohol 

The above mentioned quantities of drugs were seized by Afghan security and detective organizations. 

Based on the CJTF ILD report, 24 provinces have sent narcotic cases to the CJTF ILD from across the country included 26 cases from Kabul and also 124 cases have referred to other provinces. Within the fourth quarter 1393, 10 provinces have recorded zero referrals. In the aforementioned period, Nangarhar, Kabul and Takhar provinces are on top of the CJTF list, Nangarhar by having 31 cases, Kabul by having 26 and Takhar by having 14 cases each.
