THIRD QUARTER 1393 (October - December 2014)

Numbers of people investigated prosecuted and convicted

CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Department:

In the third quarter of 1393, the CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Dept received 140 serious narcotics and intoxicating drinks cases including 174 suspects from across the country.

The total quantities of seized drugs along with their cases were sent to the CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Dept within the third quarter of 1393, are as follows:

828.982 kg heroin

6,330.500 kg morphine

26,244.860 kg opium 

17,960 kg hashish

7,124 kg solid chemical precursors

6,488 liters liquid precursors 

2,330.900 liters Alcohol 

The above mentioned quantities of drugs were seized by Afghan security and detective organizations. 

Based on the CJTF ILD report, 24 provinces have sent narcotic cases to the CJTF ILD from across the country included 22 cases from Kabul and also 118 cases have referred to other provinces. Within the third quarter 1393, 10 provinces have recorded zero referrals. In the aforementioned period, Nangarhar, Helmand and Kabul provinces are on top of the CJTF list, Nangarhar by having 33 cases, Helmand and Kabul by having 22 cases each.
