SECOND QUARTER 1393 (July - September, 2014)

Numbers of people investigated prosecuted and convicted

CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Department:

In the second quarter of 1393, the CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Dept received 124 serious narcotics and intoxicating drinks cases including 187 suspects from across the country.

The total quantities of seized drugs along with their cases were sent to the CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Dept within the second quarter of 1393, are as follows:

1,055.100 kg heroin

10.350 kg morphine

17,966.850 kg opium

5,610.380 kg hashish

20,019.1 kg solid chemical precursors

34,025 liters liquid precursors 

2,146.500 liters Alcohol 

The above mentioned quantities of drugs were seized by Afghan security and detective organizations. 

Based on the CJTF ILD report, 18 provinces have sent narcotic cases to the CJTF ILD from across the country included 21 cases from Kabul and also 103 cases have referred to other provinces. Within the second quarter 1393, 16 provinces have recorded zero referrals. In the aforementioned period, Kandahar, Kabul and Nangarhar provinces are on top of the CJTF list, Kandahar by having 24 cases, Kabul by having 21 cases and Nangarhar by having 16 cases.
