FOURTH QUARTER 1392 (January - March 2014)

Numbers of people investigated prosecuted and convicted

CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Department:

In the fourth quarter of 1392, the CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Dept received 229 serious narcotics and intoxicating drinks cases including 277 suspects from across the country.

The total quantities of seized drugs along with their cases were sent to the CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Dept within the fourth quarter of 1392, are as follows:

2066.387 kg heroin

187.260 kg morphine

12988.140 kg opium

6341.740 kg hashish

25596.46 kg solid chemical precursors

2598.240 liters liquid precursors 

4472.100 liters Alcohol

The above mentioned quantities of drugs were seized by Afghan security and detective organizations. 

Based on the CJTF ILD report, 22 provinces have sent narcotic cases to the CJTF ILD from across the country included 48 cases from Kabul and also 181 cases have referred to other provinces. Within the fourth quarter 1392, 10 provinces have recorded zero referrals. In the aforementioned period, Helmand, Kabul and Zabul provinces are on top of the CJTF list, Helmand by having 57 cases, Kabul by having 48 and Zabul by having 21 cases.
