THIRD QUARTER 1392 (October - December 2013)

Numbers of people investigated prosecuted and convicted

CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Department:

In the third quarter of 1392, the CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Dept received 160 serious narcotics and intoxicating drinks cases including 232 suspects from across the country.

The total quantities of seized drugs along with their cases were sent to the CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Dept within the third quarter of 1392, are as follows:

1625.626 kg heroin

900 kg morphine

26455.910 kg opium

5922.390 kg hashish

8484 kg solid chemical precursors

6470 liters liquid precursors 

8670.200 liters Alcohol 

The above mentioned quantities of drugs were seized by Afghan security and detective organizations. 

Based on the CJTF ILD report, 22 provinces have sent narcotic cases to the CJTF ILD from across the country included 36 cases from Kabul and also 124 cases have referred to other provinces. Within the third quarter 1392, 12 provinces have recorded zero referrals. In the aforementioned period, Kabul, Nangarhar and Kandahar provinces are on top of the CJTF list. Kabul by having 36 cases, Nangarhar by having 18 and Kandahar by having 17 cases.
