Numbers of people investigated and prosecuted
CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Department:
In first quarter of 1390, the CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Dept received 158 serious narcotics and intoxicating drinks cases including 205 suspects from the across the country, whose primary investigation was completed and sent to the CJTF Prosecution Department for further investigation.
Case Developments:
In first quarter of 1390, the CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Dept developed 5 narco-cases with great skill and bravery which lead to the arrest of 8 suspects. After completing their investigation, the cases were sent to the CJTF Prosecution Department for further investigation.
The total quantities of seized drugs along with their cases were sent to the CJTF Investigation and Laboratory Dept within the first quarter of 1390, are as follows:

4450 kg morphine
17970 kg opium
9050 kg hashish
12875 kg chemical precursors
1160 liters liquid precursors
14948 liters Alcohol
CJTF General Prosecution Directorate:
In first quarter of 1390, the CJTF Prosecution Directorate successfully completed the investigation and prosecution of the serious narcotics and intoxicating drinks cases based on the Law against intoxicating drinks and narcotics which they received from CJTF ILD. Within this period, the CJTF General Prosecution Directorate sent 131 cases to the CJTF Primary Court, 134 cases to the CJTF Appeal Court and 117 cases to the Supreme Court of Afghanistan for their final decisions.
CJTF Primary Court:
In first quarter of 1390, the CJTF Primary Court dealt with all the cases received from the CJTF General Prosecution Directorate and as a result 177 people have been convicted to prison sentences of up to 20 years and acquitted 1 person.
CJTF Appeal Court:
In first quarter of 1390, the CJTF Appeal Court dealt with all the cases received from the CJTF General Prosecution Directorate and as a result convicted 183 defendants on different narco-crimes to prison sentences of up to 20 years, and acquitted 4 people.
Cases Finalized By Supreme Court:
In first quarter of 1390, the convictions of 212 drug traffickers have been finalized by the Supreme Court of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
