Progress report of Investigation& Laboratory of Police, General Prosecution Directorate, Primary court and Appeal court of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre
During the month of May 22.2021 to June 2021 Police of Counter Narcotics and other detective Organization in the link to 61 case , arrested 82 suspect including five woman and a Iranian Citizen from across the country,. Their cases are dispatched to CNJC for further investigation.
Among that 6 detainee including 1 women wanted to smuggle drug heroin type , using embedded techniques in their body and travel bags from Hamid Karzai International Airport to the India, they were Identified and arrested by the police and responsible Prosecutor of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre.
Investigation and Laboratory department of CNJC processed all the above mentioned cases within 72 hours, for further investigation all the suspects’ files are lodged to General Prosecution Department of CNJC.
Based on request of special prosecution department and order of primary court the number of 19 vehicle , 86 self-phone and 1 motor bike, 4 weapon are obtained from the smugglers, also confiscated the amount of (123980) Afghani cash from the smugglers by the police and were handed over to the final account of Da Afghanistan Bank.
Meanwhile during the month of May-June 2021 from the primary court of counter narcotic 96 suspects including 6 public service, 4 woman were convicted to sentenced imprisonment in the link to 69 cases from three month and seven days up to 26 year
In addition, to this 84 people, including 5 public service, 1 woman and a Foreign Citizen have been sentenced to various enforcement sentences in connection with 66 cases by the Appeal court of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre.
On the other hand during this time after the decision of Appeal of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre the decision of 43 cases issued by Supreme Court’s public security bureau of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
It is noteworthy that in connection with the cases received during the month of May- June 2021 the total amount of (207,926) kg of heroin,(4,93) kg morphine ,(85,914)kg opium ,(587,95) kg hashish ,(1916) litter alcohol ( 1290,63) kg Methamphetamine, ( 2,193 ) kg Tablet k, ( 1085,13 ) kg solid Chemical, ( 8 ) litter liquid chemical are seized and discovered
Provinces with the highest cases of intoxicants and narcotics crimes:
During the month of May-June 2021 Nangarar province with 13 cases, Kabul and Herat with 11- 11 cases of intoxication and narcotics were at the top of the list of provinces with long cases of intoxication and narcotics
It should be noted that during the last month in the link to 55 cases of drug trafficking, 79 people including 2 woman are detained from all over the country and their cases already dispatched to CNJC for further investigation
According to recent amendments to the Anti-Narcotics Law; According to Articles 16 and 17 of this law, the jurisdiction of the judiciary is the jurisdiction of cases where the amount is more than one kilogram of heroin, more than one kilogram of morphine, more than 100 grams of synthetic drugs, more than 50 liters of acetic anhydride, Commits more than 50 acres of narcotics more than 200 liters of alcohol, more than 10 kilograms of opium and more than 50 kilograms of hashish from all over the country.
