The communication Directorate of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre launched an awareness program on prevention (purchase, sale, storage and transportation) of cannabis and poppies in Kabul today, Tuesday.
Since cannabis and poppies have recently been included in the prohibited tables of the Anti-Narcotics and Alcohol Law, buying, selling, storing and transporting (seeds and poppies) is considered a crime, and the perpetrators will be cash fine up and to 10 years prison in accordance with Article 306 of penalty code of the country.
The campaign started today in different areas of such as ( Mandai ) and straw shops in Kabul and was distributed to about 500 posters containing information about the Anti-Narcotics Law (purchase, sale, storage and transportation) of cannabis and poppies.
