Progress report of Investigation& Laboratory of Police, General Prosecution Directorate, Primary court and Appeal court of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre:
During the month of January 22, 2021- February 22.2021 Police of Counter Narcotics and other detective Organization in the link to136 case arrested 152 suspect including 3 woman from across the country, their cases are dispatched to CNJC for further investigation.
Among the 8 detainee wanted to smuggle drug heroin type and hashish , using embedded techniques in their body and travel bags, dry fruit, cigarette, from Hamid Karzai International Airport to the India and Dubai they were Identified and arrested by the police and responsible Prosecutor of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre.
Investigation and Laboratory department of CNJC processed all the above mentioned cases within 72 hours, for further investigation all the suspects’ files are lodged to general prosecution department of CNJC.
Based on request of special prosecution department and order of primary court the number of 38 vehicle, 2 motor bike, 177 self-phone and 5 weapon are obtained from the smugglers, confiscated as well as the amount of (661188) Afghani cash and amount of ($700) dollar were confiscated from the smugglers by the police and were handed over to the final account of Da Afghanistan Bank.
Meanwhile during the month of January – February 2021 from the primary court of counter narcotic 205 suspects including 10 public service and 6 woman were convicted to sentenced imprisonment in the link to 100 cases from one year and one month up to 30 year.
In addition, 118 people, including 10 public service officials and 2 women have been sentenced to various enforcement sentences in connection with 88 cases by the Appeal court of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre.
On the other hand during this time after the decision of Appeal of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre the decision of 84 cases issued by Supreme Court’s public security bureau of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
It is noteworthy that in connection with the cases received during the month of January- February 2021 the total amount of (274.983) kg of heroin,(1014.633) kg opium,( 26953.295) kg hashish ,(3904.5) litter alcohol,(196.919) kg Methamphetamine, (15.5) litter acid, ( 2059.5) kg henbane, ( 3.537) kg tablet k , ( 5355 ) kg solid chemical are seized and discovered.
Provinces with the highest cases of intoxicants and narcotics crimes during September:
During the month of January- February 2021 Kabul province with 25 cases and Nangarhar with 29 cases of intoxication and narcotics were at the top of the list of provinces with long cases of intoxication and narcotics.
It should be noted that during the last month in the link to 96 cases of drug trafficking, 119 people including 7 woman are detained from all over the country and their cases already dispatched to for further investigation.
Based on last changes to the penalty code of Counter Narcotics, accordance Articles 16 and 17 of the Law fight against alcohol and drugs jurisdiction CNJC has the authority of interrogation or (handling) more than one kilogram of heroin, more than 10 kilogram of opium, more than 50 kilogram of hashish, more than 200 liter of alcoholic drink, more than one kilogram of Morphine, more than 10 gram of intoxicating synthetic substance, more than 5 liter acid of acetic an hydride, intoxicants, and those who committed more than 50 acres of narcotic substance will be punished base on the law, the mentioned substances are from all over the country.
