Monthly Report



Progress report of Investigation& Laboratory of Police, General Prosecution Directorate, Primary court and Appeal court of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre:

During the month of  November 22.2020 to December 22 ,2020 Police of Counter Narcotics and other detective Organization in the link to 88 case, arrested 92 suspects including 2 woman and a Pakistani  citizen from across the country, their cases are dispatched to CNJC for further investigation.

Among the15  detainee including 1  women, who wanted to smuggle drug heroin type, using embedded techniques in their body and travel bags from Hamid Karzai International Airport to the India  they were Identified and arrested by the police and responsible Prosecutor of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre.

Investigation and Laboratory department of CNJC processed all the above mentioned cases within 72 hours, for further investigation all the suspects’ files are lodged to general prosecution department of CNJC.

Based on request of special prosecution department and order of primary court the number of 23 vehicle, 1 motor bike, 199 self-phone and 9 different weapon are obtained from the smugglers, confiscated as well as the amount of (822262) Afghani cash and amount of ($100) dollar   were confiscated from the smugglers by the police and were handed over to the final account of Da Afghanistan Bank.

Meanwhile during the  month of Nov- Dec  2020 from the primary court of counter narcotic 148  suspects including 18  public service and 6 woman were  convicted to sentenced imprisonment in the link to 101 cases from 5 year up to 30 year.

  In addition, 121 people, including 16 public service officials and 3 women as well  as three woman  have been sentenced to various enforcement sentences in connection with 96 cases by the Appeal court of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre.

On the other hand during this time after the decision of Appeal of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre the decision of 21 cases issued by Supreme Court’s public security bureau of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

It is noteworthy that in connection with the cases received during  the month of  Nov- December 2020, the total amount of (112,501) kg of heroin,(297,855) kg opium,( 32923,52) kg hashish ,(35595,5) litter alcohol,(62,6970 kg) Methamphetamin,(182) kg solid chemical ,( 8,5) litter acid,(1,96) kg unspecified drug,(1235) kg henbane, (7,084 )kg tablet k, and(178) kg poppy  has been discovered and confiscated.

Provinces with the highest cases of intoxicants and narcotics crimes during September:

During the month of Nov-Dec, Kabul  province with 29 cases and Nangarhar  with 17 cases of intoxication and narcotics were at the top of the list of provinces with long cases of intoxication and narcotics.

It should be noted that during the last month in the link to 74 cases of drug trafficking, 88 people including 6 woman  are detained from all over the country and their cases already dispatched to for further investigation.

Based on last changes to the penalty code of Counter Narcotics, accordance Articles 16 and 17 of the Law fight against alcohol and drugs jurisdiction CNJC has the authority of interrogation or (handling) more than one kilogram of heroin, more than 10 kilogram of opium, more than 50 kilogram of hashish, more than 200 liter of alcoholic drink, more than one kilogram of Morphine, more than 10 gram of intoxicating synthetic substance, more than 5 liter acid of acetic anhydride, intoxicants, and those who committed more than 50 acres of narcotic substance will be punished base on the law, the mentioned substances are from all over the country.
