Progress report of Investigation& Laboratory of Police, General Prosecution Directorate, Primary court and Appeal court of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre:
During the month of May 22- 2020 - 22 June 2020 Police of Counter Narcotics and other detective Organization in the link to 53 case, have been arrested 57 suspect including 1 female from across the country, their cases are dispatched to CNJC for further investigation.
Department of Investigation Laboratory of Police reviewed all of the aforementioned cases within 72 hour and forwarded all the suspects’ cases to the General Prosecution Department of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre for further investigation.
Based on the proposal of the Special Prosecutor’s Office and primary court decree, 12 vehicles, , 49 mobile phones, along with 3 weapons have been seized from the traffickers and also 488991 Afghanis with $ 600 have been handed over to the Da Afghanistan Bank definitive account.
Meanwhile during the month of May 22, 2020 – 22 June 2020 around 62 individuals including 4 public service in the link to 41 case, have been sentenced to imprisonment from one year and six month up to 16 year by the primary court of CNJC.
Also around 40 individuals including 4 public service in the link to 27 case, have been sentenced to imprisonment by the appeal court of CNJC.
On the other hand during this time after the decision of Appeal of Counter Narcotics Justice Centre the decision of 9 cases issued by Supreme Court’s public security bureau of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
It should be noted that counter-narcotics Police have also seized more than 64,614kg of heroin, 9 kg of morphine, 1426, 48kg of opium, 4698, 6kg hashish, 511 litter alcohol, 17,847kg of methamphetamine, 253kg solid chemical, and 0,6kg Tablet k.
Provinces with the highest number of crime:
During the month of November- December 2019, current year Nangarhar having 24 cases and Kabul having 7 cases of drug trafficking are at the top of the list of provinces with high-level cases of smuggling and drug trafficking.
It should be noted that during the last month in the link to 25 cases of drug trafficking, 31 people are detained from all over the country and their cases already dispatched to for further investigation.
Based on last changes to the penalty code of Counter Narcotics, accordance Articles 16 and 17 of the Law fight against alcohol and drugs jurisdiction CNJC has the authority of interrogation or (handling) more than one kilogram of heroin, more than 10 kilogram of opium, more than 50 kilogram of hashish, more than 200 liter of alcoholic drink, more than one kilogram of Morphine, more than 10 gram of intoxicating synthetic substance, more than 5 liter acid of acetic anhydride, intoxicants, and those who committed more than 50 acres of narcotic substance will be punished base on the law, the mentioned substances are from all over the country.
